FPC soft board is a PCB with a cylindrical or rectangular shape that can change its size according to the requirements of its application. This standard divides FPC into two types: rigid type and flexible type. Flexible FPC is a double-sided PCB that can withstand bending forces. In addition we want to use it for power interconnection applications. FPC does not require any solder joints due to its ease of modification and customization. The flexibility of FPC allows for different retrofit solutions. It significantly reduces the cost of printing new boards for specific applications. We use FPC in applications that require flexibility and point-to-point capabilities. FPC offers several electrical advantages, primarily due to the use of PET. PET is a low dielectric material, therefore, FPC using PET can achieve lower line width variation. Reducing linewidth variation improves noise immunity and signal integrity. FPC also allows for easy routing, thereby increasing manufacturing yields. FPC has many applications in many different fields.
